One thing that they should do and showing him in court again because I didn't like Cary the Peter's bureaucrat. I didn't like a lot of things about Cary in season 3. So now I expect a lot. Also, Cary's love life sucks big time so I'd like if they improve it, pairing him up with someone who's able to reciprocate his feelings for once ( I don't want to face things like Dana anymore).

I don't want him to be tied to Kalinda if Kalinda won't be tied to him, that's my point. He can easily moves ouf of shadow just with more than 2 minute screentime and with a script that is focused on both of them and not just on her and that's my worry about that Cary's involvement, that writers won't able to do it.

I thought there was space for other persons in Kalinda's life besides her best friend. Around season 2 Cary seemed to be one of those other persons. But last year writers failed to show if there was any type of relationship between those two: friendship, love, attraction. They said they wanted to developed that Cary and Kalinda thing but at the end of season 3 they went down to season 2 premiere status. And after all he did for her through season 2 and after what happened between them in the beginning of season 3 I was waiting for them to develop that plot. Did she say she had feeling for him? We never found out if it was true or what type of feelings she was talking about or if she cares about him at least. That was a big letdown for me because I invested in that storyline and it turned out that I was wasting my time beign excited about something they didn't want to further. That's never a good thing to find out for a fan.

As for Cary being sorta out of Kalinda's league...I disagree.
I think Cary is more than a sweet guy. He has ethics but he can be vindictive and mischievous. Sweet guys don't screw over people like Blake or Childs. Sweet guys don't swim with the sharks without being eaten alive. He's a really complex character who saddly got really few attention through those 3 years so I can see why people think he's just the girl next door for Kalinda. But, honestly, Cary's probably the only one that proved to be able to handle Kalinda without getting sucked into her tricks. Sweet guys are also not able to do it.
So, well, I don't think there were big problems to pair up Kalinda and Cary romantically speaking. I just think writers don't want to go there for other reasons that have nothing to do with Cary being out of Kalinda's league or they would have never spent time writing about them from the start.
Pandoranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7093645967922790074.post-87467126860888095712012-08-22T21:32:55.994-07:002012-08-22T21:32:55.994-07:00You make some excellent points! Having Cary back ...You make some excellent points! Having Cary back at the firm will be great and it will also hopefully provide more of an opportunity to have him develop a true story line. The last three years really have Cary chase after Kalinda in one way or another. The thing is, I don't see these two ever having a true relationship. Cary is, for lack of a better analogy, the girl next door. He's wholesome and sweet and Kalinda doesn't seem to be in the market for either of those characteristics, unless they come in the form of her best friend, Alicia.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Cary and Alicia team up on things again. In my perfect world, the firm of Florrick and Agos isn't too far off. These two have a terrific synergy and despite their differences in season one, they work brilliantly together. Not only that, Cary knows more about Alicia than anyone else on the show does (at least from a 'secrets' perspective) and I love how that comes into their dynamic.

For season four, I predict a lot more Cary Agos. Of course, he'll be tied to Kalinda in some ways, but I think it's time he moves out of her shadow. Let's just hope he brings his beloved office ficus along for the ride!Pink Peperkornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00967482192421937278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7093645967922790074.post-62063773194053793882012-08-21T22:26:22.961-07:002012-08-21T22:26:22.961-07:00I look forward to see Cary at L&G again. I hop...I look forward to see Cary at L&G again. I hope we'll finally do more with him now that they CAN.
But the lack of development for Cary and Kalinda relationship last year doesn't allow me to be excited about Cary's involvement in that plot. Maybe I'll change my mind after the premiere but right now I don't understand why writers are involving him in that plot when through the 2nd half of season 3 they've done whatever they could to show that Cary is not someone important in Kalinda's life. Two years of that Cary and Kalinda thing and every thing ended up in a nothing. He came back to L&G and she barely noticed. And I'm really worried that it's going to end like that this time too. Probably he'll help Alicia to protect her or something like that but everything will be about Kalinda and Alicia being friends again with him being left alone in a corner.
Cary's character really deserves more than being a mere witness of Alicia and Kalinda friendship rebuilding. I'm tired of Cary helping Kalinda and getting so litte love and consideration in return. I'd like to see Kalinda doing something big for him for once or being involved in a plot that is about Cary and not about her. But I'm almost sure that will never happen.Pandoranoreply@blogger.com
